He has become the fastest 3000 batsman in T20 International. He has broken England’s star batsman Jose Butler’s record in this regard. Vasim was out for 69 in this match.

Muhammad Vasim made World Record at T20 International

Muhammad Vasim is now named for the fastest 3000 runs in T20 International Cricket in the context of the ball. He finished 3000 off 1947 balls. Jose Butler finished 3000 off 2068 balls. He is now second on this list. Australian batsman Aaron Finch is third. He finished 3000 off 2077 balls. David Warner completed 3000 off 2077 balls and Rohit Sharma finished 3000 off 2149 balls.

Muhammad Wasim becomes the second player to do so at T20 International

During this innings, Muhammad Vasim made another record in his own name. He has become the second player to score 3000 T20I runs in the Associate countries. The first player for the Associate country was Malaysia’s Virandeep Singh to do so. He also completed 3000 runs at T20 International.

The UAE gave Oman a target of 173 runs

Talking about the match between UAE and Oman, the UAE team lost 172 for 5 in 20 overs, with a target of 173 runs against Oman. Muhammad Wasim scored the highest 69 off 54 balls for the team. Apart from him, Alishan Sharafu scored 51 off 38 balls. Mohammad Zoheb contributed 21 and Harshit Kaushik contributed 19. Jiten Ramanandi took the highest 2 wickets in this match from Oman. The UAE and Oman have played one match in the Asia Cup 2025 so far and they suffered defeat there.
