An Indian student has been shot dead by unidentified assailants in the city of Milwaukee in the state of Wisconsin, USA. Praveen’s father Raghavvalu said that at 2.50 pm on Wednesday night, he received a call from an American number by WhatsApp, but he was missed. When the family called again in the morning, a stranger asked Praveen’s date of birth, which made him skeptical that this could be a fraud. He later got a phone call from his friends and police, after which he found out that Praveen had been shot dead. Police earlier said that the murder was due to a personal gun, then mentioned the store gun and also described it as an incident near the beach. The incident was eventually registered in the FIR as a murder in the store.
