There is something about the New York Islanders with whom Winnipeg Jets struggles.
Jets fell on the islands on Tuesday night on Long Island, losing their fifth straight route against New York and ninth in their last eleven meetings.
It is also the first time in two months that Jets have gone to three straight games without winning.
Winnipeg seemed to be a better team outside the gate, and at one point was leading the islands 10-3. They also had the first power play of the game and when they did not convert, it was a solid effort by Jets, who started the night in the season-long drought when it came to power play success.
However, until the final 8:32 of the period, New York jets forward with a large margin of 14-0, leading to the initial goal of the game.
With the jets shortening, the islanders won a battle with the board, resulting in some penalty killers chasing the play. The prank went to Nelson to Braek K Nelson, who sent him to a huge-minor Kyle Palmairi for a timer around the snow, who had no chance of stopping Conor Helbuk.

New York carried that lead to another and doubled the first shot of that period. The breakdown in the neutral zone allowed Nelson to skate the PU UCK SCATE Bunde by the end of the Vinypag while Maxim Tsplacov skates in favor of the net. The two islanders gave a complete and go to go, resulting in Nelson tap-in which made it 2-0 to 1:33 in the middle frame.
Winnipeg went to the board on the mark of 8:48 as he finally got a break from the power play. Josh Morisi Point Shot Simon Holmstrom and the past Ilya Sorokin’s skate exited, breaking 0/19 cramps for the power play of Jets.
The jet was a better team for most of the second, leading the islanders 13-7 during this period, but New York was 2-1 after 40 minutes.
They scored their two goals in four minutes in the third. Logan Stanley gave the uck under his goal line, and the islanders bicycled it back to the point where Dofin’s native Ryan Poolock had a scheme outside the Rasmus Cupper’s skate and with ice to make it 3-1.

Kyle Connore sent PUK Kan down to the lowest, who started the game with his back but quickly turned to his forehand and beat Sorokin on a blocker-side, making it a goal with 7:09.
Helbuk went on a bench for an additional attacker with 1:34 on the clock, but when he started to move to the Eastern Council, he escaped from the Isle Jet to get a very necessary win.
Helbuk closed 26 shots in the defeat while Sorokin saved 27 for victory.
