The actress we are talking about is none other than Yami Gautam. Yami is the daughter of Punjabi film director Mukesh Gautam.
In an old interview to Hindustan Times, Yami had revealed that he never thought of becoming an actor. He revealed, “I wanted to become an IAS officer, when some family friends came to Chandigarh to meet us and told my parents that I should try to enter Bollywood.” And after this Yami thought of acting.
Yami started her acting career with the small screen. He worked in serials like Chalo, Yeh Pyaar Na Hoga Come across the moon.
He then made her Bollywood debut in 2012 with the film Vicky Donor with Ayushmann Khurrana. This film proved to be a turning point for Yami’s career. Actually the film was a super hit and Yami also got recognition in the industry overnight. After this film, he never looked back.
Yami Gautam has so far done many great films like Action Jackson, Badlapur, Sanam Ray, Hrithik Roshan with Kabil, Uri: The Surgical Strike, Bala, A Tharsade, Dasti, OMG 2.
Yami’s last release on the big screen was 2024’s political action thriller article 370. This film also proved to be a super-duper hit and Yami’s acting was also highly praised.
Yami became the mother of the son last year, since then she was away from the screen. However, now the action comedy based on marriage with actress Prateek Gandhi is making a comeback with great pomp. The premiere of this film will be on Netflix on 14 February 2025 on the special occasion of Valentine’s Day.
Talking about the personal front, Yami Gautam has married Uri director Aditya Dhar. He made seven rounds in 2021 and welcomed the son in 2024. The couple had described their son’s name Vedavid in a special post on Instagram. Dhoom will be the first film of the actress after giving birth to a son.
