Then we can remove most of the diseases through regular yoga, exercise or pranayama. Also, we get information from Yoga Therapist Sonu Singh about what kind of asanas we can do while sleeping to relieve back pain.
Talking to yoga therapist Sonu Singh said that today the problem of back pain has become common among people. Many factors like busy lifestyle, junk food, sedentary life, sitting and standing in bad position are responsible behind this. If it is not diagnosed at the right time, the person becomes a victim of serious illness later on. In such a case it is imperative to consult a doctor or surgeon before doing any exercise.
Simple Bhujangasana: First, spread the yoga mat on the ground and lie on your stomach. Now keep both the hands on the ground near the waist and keep both the legs straight, erect and with some distance between the legs. Now slowly raise the front part of the body i.e. from the waist to the head while inhaling. Be careful not to put too much pressure on the waist in this position. Inhale and exhale slowly while doing this asana. Stay in this posture for a while. Then slowly exhale and return to the original position.
Repeat this asana 3-4 times daily. Doing this asana stretches the abdomen, waist and neck. It gives relief from back pain, lung, asthma, neck, thyroid, slipped disc, digestive system, stress etc. But one thing should be noted that a person who has more pain in the back or a person suffering from a disease like hernia, ulcer or pregnant women should not do this asana.
Mercatason: To perform Mercatasana, first lie straight on a yoga mat on a rocky floor. Then keep both hands straight at the waist. Now move both hands to the sides. While inhaling, lift the right leg up towards the sky and bend the knee. After doing this try to bring the right leg from the left leg while exhaling and touching the ground. Take the support of your left hand for this. Now turn your head in the opposite direction of the feet i.e. to the left. Maintain this posture for 10-15 seconds.
Then slowly return to the original position. Now in the same way now complete the cycle of this asana by keeping the left leg on the ground. Merkat Asana benefits a person in many problems like back, cervical, stomach, waist, indigestion, insomnia.
Be careful
Do not force any exercise. Otherwise, other problems may arise in the body. Also have a yoga expert or yoga instructor with you while exercising. Initially do any exercise 4-5 times. In addition, if any other serious problem related to back pain is found, seek treatment as per the doctor’s advice.
