Ahmedabad: Now Air India has launched a unique system for its passenger to go to any place of Australia. Codeshar partnership has been signed between Air India and Virgin Australia to increase connectivity. Through which Air India and Virgin will manage codeshar flights in Australian network of Australia and 16 cities in New Zealand.
Air India and Virgin Australia today announced a new codeshar partnership, which aims to increase connectivity between India and Australia and facilitate travel between the two countries. This bilateral codeshar agreement will allow Air India to install ‘AI’ in planes operated by Virgin Australia.
This will give Air India customers more travel options between Delhi to Melbourne or Sydney. In addition, Virgin Australia flights will be easily available for 16 places in Australia and New Zealand. The benefit of the passengers is that passengers do not have to check the luggage several times when changing the flight. They will be able to make their journey comfortable in a single bag.

16 cities in Australia and New Zealand include the following places, including Adelaide, Balina/Byron Bay, Brisbane, Carnes, Canbera, Darwin, gold Coast, Hamilton Island, Hobart, Lancaster, Melbourne, Newcastle, Perth, Sunestyland, Sunestyll. Air India operates 14 weekly flights between India and Australia, including from Delhi to Melbourne and Delhi to Sydney. The airline manages the Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft on this route. They include 18 flat beds in business class and 238 spacious seats in economy class. Air India customers will be able to enjoy a quality business and economy class cabin as well as award -winning service while traveling on Australia Australia and New Zealand flights. Codeshare Booking has begun on February 11, 2025 when the first codeshar flight will begin on February 18, 2025.
